Garrard 301 hummed loud when connected to a PSU

Recently I could put resist the temptation to buy another beautifully made Artisan Fidelity Garrard 301. Prior to that I have a Garrard 301 on a slate plinth working perfectly well with a CTC lookalike PSU . The AF 301 working perfectly fine & pretty quiet connected to the main . However when I inserted the CTC PSU ,it hummed so loudly . Wondering what’s the issue. Any feedback is much appreciated.TQ
