Weather wasn't bad today, so I did a bit in the workshop and it wasn't cold. Started refurbishing tools, de-rusted and painted some hammers and gave the handles a going over with wood hardener. Tried to sort my pop-riveter, but it's knackered, I'll need another. Next job, clean and de-rust all the spanners and screwdrivers. It's a thrill a minute here! :D

Cold days coming up. It's cold here today - maybe 7 C - and not predicted to go above that.

The next few days could be a lot colder. Maybe a testament to our heating - though it does have a fault. The heating water doesn't always circulate properly due to an occasional pressure loss. Once I got the pressure back up, the heat mostly returned to a comfortable level in under 24 hours - which maybe doesn't sound good - but given the complexity etc. it's really OK.

The heating is being scheduled for a major upgrade later on - hoping we can get that done - and can abandon reliance on oil.

In the mean time we have other considerably more urgent problems to deal with.
