Can anyone help with an issue I have with Audirvana please?

I've signed up to a free trial to see how I get on.

Using my MacBook pro, I downloaded the app and signed into my Qobuz and Tidal accounts and was enjoying it on Thursday night with no issues.

Went to it yesterday and now the app won't load, citing something about an error in opening library file and a damaged database.

I know zero about what it's trying to tell me and have uninstalled the app and tried to reinstall to no avail, just get the same message.

Can anyone advise what I need to do to get it to work again on my Mac please?

Thanks in advance.

had to edit this to regain access as securi had closed it down due to content as possible scripting.
anyway hopefully it'll be ok now. not sure if it was title or the uploaded img.

I dumped Roon a few days ago (after 3+ years due to on-going random issues over the past year that the Roon "techs" either have no answer for or simply don't answer at all. And now that they nearly doubled the price, I cut them off.

This morning I installed Audirvana Studio to run with my new Cambridge Audio CXN V2. It was working fine, but every once in a while I would hear the smallest little static "glitch" between some tracks through various albums. The last album I was playing, it blew out that static at the end of one of the songs for about 5 seconds. It was loud as heck as well! I turned the volume way down at about the same time the static stopped. The next track started... About 30 seconds into it the static popped in for about 2 seconds, went back to the music for about 5 seconds, then right back to the static, this time not stopping at all.

Since it's well known that there's various issues with the CXN V2 and the AV software, I simply uninstalled the software and am back to running the stock Stream Magic app on my phone. Zero issues for the past 9+ hours.

I use a MacBook Pro running Big Sur OS 11. My steaming hardware is RPi running Volumio and I used to have a Sonore microRendu Dac.

With the above I have used all versions of Audirvana since early on, Volumio in web app, and on iPad, and native Roon, Qobuz and Tidal apps on the Mac.

So here is my view Audirvana used to be reasonably good up to the point when the went to the current web based app, it was very unreliable with the microRendu, but more stable with Volumio/HiFiBerry hat but not much. I looked into it a bit and suspect memory leaks causing lock ups and crashes. So I no longer bother with it.

Roon I found 95% stable and rarely failed with microRendu or Volumio, with Qobuz and Tidal. I no longer use it as £12.99 a month on top of Qobuz subs is a bit much for occasional use.

For a while I just used the Qobuz app on the Mac and iPad, and to be honest completely stable and did the job well. But I missed not having access to digital radio streams, so now have gone back to using Volumio with Qobuz so pay £5.99 a month for that.

So in summary I would advise dumping Audirvana, too glitchy, investigate what your hardware (streamer/DAC) works with, and go from there. By the way I really liked hoe ROON worked it was just the cost.

Thanks Grant.

Was maybe because I uploaded via Tapatalk on my iPhone?

Thanks for sorting anyway.

Thanks all.

Seems that Audirvāna has multiple issues which is a shame as seemed a viable option to Roon.

I did like Roon when I had it but honestly can’t justify the extra cost on top of the subscription to Tidal & Qobuz, hence trying Audirvana in first place.

I’m trying to reduce box count also so running straight from MacBook into DAC so will also take a look at Volumio and also maybe the Qobuz & Tidal Mac Apps. I would like to use my iPhone as a remote for streaming though so does anyone know if that’s an option?

Thanks all. Giving up now on Audirvana and put the Node back in to stream Qobuz & Tidal via Bluesound app.
