Hi
Selling my Accuphase DP-430CD.
I've recently retired and am 'downsizing' my life to raise cash.
My DP-430 is a 2017 model and comes with all the original paperwork, e.g. manual/safety information, remote, upgraded mains cable (plus genuine Accuphase one), computer audio software, transport lock insert, rear socket covers, packaging and a spare new/unused GENUINE Sony laser/optical block assembly. It performs flawlessly - obviously - and unlike many CD players has a big element of inbuilt future proofing. Reliability and build quality are unsurpassed by any other manufacturer (good thing too as it cost £5500 new!!).
Accuphase DP-430CD features:
Plays red book CD's.
Can be used solely as a CD transport via its Coaxial and Optical Transport outputs. The signal is 44.1 kHz/16 bit from the coaxial and optical outputs.
It's DAC can be used independently too with a transport of your choice and with a PC if you enjoy computer based audio via its 3 digital inputs, Coaxial, Optical and USB.
USB input accepts 384kHz/32bit-PCM or 11.2896MHz DSD. DSD data can be received both DoP(DSD over PCM)and ASIO2.1. Coaxial input accepts up to 192 kHz/24 bit and the Optical input can accept up to 96 kHz/24 bit.
The DP-430's uses amongst other things 4 Asahi Kasai Microdevices (AKM) DAC's of the type AK4490 connected in parallel per channel with Accuphase’s unique technology, MDS (Multiple Delta Sigma) conversion system. Furthermore, due to Accuphase's obsessive quest to obtain extreme low distortion and noise performance from their CD players/DAC's the DP-430 has their Accuphase Noise and distortion Cancelling Circuit (ANCC) which works as a 4th order low pass filter to reduce DAC noise. It all works too as a German hifi magazine - 'Stereo' - test obtained the following lab results:
Signal-to-noise ratio - 118.3 dB
Converter linearity at -90 dB - 0.1 dB
THD - 0.0004%
Not bad!!!
Accuphase provide plenty of information on the DP-430 on their website. This is a good place to start: https://www.accuphase.com/cat/dp-430_e.pdf

The DP-430's sound quality is amazing!!! With such low levels of noise and distortion it cannot be anything else. And of course you can use its stellar DAC to enjoy high res files. What's not to like?
