We had a romantic candle lit dinner (lunch actually, and without the candle) here.

It was very nice, and not so much batter on the fish, just how Anita likes it. The dining room wasn't great though, darker than in the pictures and no windows. Like being in a basement. Last time we went there was an upstairs, but this time it was closed off.

We don't usually go out for a meal on Valentines because it is usually too busy, you are time limited and there is often an expensive set menu, so we go out later in the week.
We did have a £20 M&S £20 Valentine meal for two which was quite good - Coquille St Jacques, Sirloin steaks with Garlic butter, Asparagus, Lemon cheesecakes and a bottle of wine. There was a choice of items for each course. Great value.

Roughly similar to what we ate, save we passed up on the dessert. However the bill was ten times what you had to pay - and we were time limited. Don't think we'll be doing that again.
m&s meal deals are fairly good some are very good and yes, great value for a special.

Good grief! In Chorley that kind of money would pay for the meal and someone exotic to share it with. With a nice dessert thrown in :eyebrows:

Unfortunately not. That's the 'platinum' package, you have to drive out to Bolton for that :(
