El34 pp power amp.
Danbury transformers.
4 x JJ EL34L
2 x Toshiba 6AN8A

External valve power supply
Presume Danbury transformers.
2 x Brimar 5V4G

Comes with power leads.
some additional valves -
2 x Brimar 5V4G
2 x RCA 6AN8A

Sounds wonderful.
Gorgeous EL34 midrange.

The output transformers took a knock in transit, and are slightly unlevel, having slightly warped the rear of the top plate.
No affect to sound or performance, and noticable only from the rear.

It has been pointed out to me previously that a coupling cap has come loose at one end.
So i have been uising it with only 3 valves and never realised.
A slight imbalance in sound which i put down to one speakerbeign against a wall and another in fere speace.
It still sounded lovely.

A simple fix, but i don't drive and although i have had ofers to solder the looses coupling cap, it;s a busy time of year so have not go around to it as yet.

Collection from eton wick, near windsor.

A bargain £400.

Very tempting, but I need another Class A amp......... or any more amps like a hole in the head:lol:

(If you decide to get it fixed and keep it, I am a very competent DIYer and have built tons of audio stuff over the years, modified and tweaked and repaired. I am only about an hour from you and could come to you and Mrs Puffin can amuse herself in the lovely surroundings of Eton and Windsor. We had a lovely day there recently)

Apologies for the thread stray, but re the above I have a poorly pre-amp from dearly missed Glenn Croft, and am pondering how to find someone to trust it with for repair.
Is this something we could discuss ?
