Wanted Tube Integrated , Pre or Power

Looking for a British integrated tube amplifier also will also consider a seperated Pre or Power looking for Art Audio , Croft , Pye , Leak Quad would love a Rogers Cadet looking in the Bournemouth surrounding area with a max budget of £550 for a proper on must be in fully operational order cosmetic not a problem

I would be careful about the Cadet as it uses ECC807 valves which would almost impossible to replace in the event of 1 failing (the price would give you a nosebleed). IMO the HG88mk2 would be a better choice ,with easier to source replacement valves-ECC83,and more affordable .

I had a few Cadets, integrated and pre/power. They're OK if cheap, but nothing to get too excited about and not a patch on a Leak Stereo 20 for instance. And I agree about the HG88II being a decent option.

Nice, sweet sounding little unit, I owned a couple. Not tried it, but I suspect the Quad 306 could sound very good with it as long as the gain is not too high.

I still have my el34 pp valve with seperate valve psu.
But still collection from eton wick.
All fixed and working beautifully.
Still in the classifieds soemwhere.
