FS - EL34 PP valve amplifier with external valve pus / Rose rv23 valve preamp

El34 pp power amp.
Danbury transformers.
4 x JJ EL34L
2 x Toshiba 6AN8A

External valve power supply
Presume Danbury transformers.
2 x Brimar 5V4G

Comes with power leads.
some additional valves -
2 x Brimar 5V4G
2 x RCA 6AN8A

Sounds wonderful.
Gorgeous EL34 midrange.

The output transformers took a knock in transit, and are slightly unlevel, having slightly warped the rear of the top plate.
No affect to sound or performance, and noticable only from the rear.

Rose rv23 valve preamplifier.

2 x philips 5963 for the line stage.
2 x philips 5963 for the phono stage.
(works with 12au7/ecc82 variants).

Has just been rewired, recapped, new volume pot and selector switch.

Mundorf evo oil in line stage.
Volume pot - tkd cp-2511
Selector switch - elma 04/1264

Transformer is external (crack to case, has been repaired).

In very nice condition.
A very rare preamp with a very good reputation.
Sounds lovely.

This combination is available for £1200.
Which i think is a steal.

Selling because i got carried away (Again!)

It looks like one of the capacitors has come adrift in the power amplifier, check that out.

I have heard the Rose preamplifier and can attest that it sounds superb, including the phono input which is suitable for MC or MM. This really is a top class preamplifier.

Yes, not an easy decision.

Re the cap - would this have been playing on 3 vales worth then?
I thought it was very slightly low on one speaker, but put that down to that speaker being in free space and the other in a corner.

Bugger, if i ship it to you to fix, i'll end up keeping it!

Here we go again. Rose preamp withdrawn. sounding better and better as new caps bed in. So just the el34 power amp for sale at £500.

I haven't had time to fix the cap.

So the EL34 power amp can be had for £400 if you want to fix yourself.

Very nice sounding for not a lot.
