Do Japanese repress albums generally mean high quality, not just in the cutting but the remastering?

Interesting. I was actually sitting here listening to Close to the edge and my copy is very crackly.I looked on e bay for the 200gm that came out recently and came across a japanese one , new for £15. Just got me thinking because some reissues are rubbish some good but ive read about Japanese consistency.

Believe me this is early compared with most nights this week.
Problem is ive moved onto Northern Soul now and im suddenly feeling very awake.
