For sale my Ming Da MC 34-A integrated amplifier. Bought in April this year from the original owner who told me it had been used very lightly in a second system and the condition certainly indicated it was very well looked after.
I took it to Mark in Malvern, the official UK importer of Ming Da products for a health check which it passed with flying colours. The 4 Shu Guang EL34 valves tested near perfect while the pair of 12AX7s and the 12AU7s were both usable but were replaced with PSVanes and nos RFT valves respectively. Valves were then biased by Mark.
Mark checked under the bonnet and declared everything was in order. As usual with Ming Da amps, all the wiring is point to point, i.e. no circuit boards.
This is the original MC 34-A, 35w per channel push pull which came without remote control so I had Mark fit one for volume adjustment.
Reason for selling? Well it’s a bit involved and not altogether logical but it certainly isn’t because I haven’t been very happy with this amp. Happy to bore you with reason if you really want me to. :) The 4 EL34 valves produce bags of detail with a sweet top end and a strong, textured bass. I also love the obvious bling
I have original packaging but it’s a heavy beast (17kg) so I’d be much happier if it was collected or I can deliver or meet up to 80 miles from Stroud Gloucestershire.
