Having a clear out and found this project. It's an EC900 valve moving coil head amp with 28dB gain.
Built into an old satellite receiver box, it is mains powered.

It works surprisingly well, there is virtually no hum and just a little noise from the valves, but nothing intrusive.

The innards are constructed from what I had to hand at the time, with a hum screen between psu and amplifier stage:

The valve stage is mounted on 'bungee' rubbers that control microphonics very well:

The input impedance is 100 ohms, with 28dB of gain.
