View Full Version : Wanted to Buy: Technics SL1210
I've been to see a couple of these locally recently... their idea of great condition is covered in fag ash and scratches!
I would rather not have one that had been heavily used by a DJ so rather than the lottery that is eBay, I thought I'd try like minded people.
Let me know if you have a well cared for 1210 you are looking to move on.
Regards,
Wee bump for the new week.:)

I managed to get one late last year via ebay which was almost mint but quite old. Apparently it had only been used by a hi-fi fan. They are there, keep looking. And, it really is a wonderful sounding deck being so neutral.
Been away for a while but back and still on the look out for a honest 1210. Anyone have one?
Thanks
Sorry, Gary, I only have mine which I love. I do have a spare almost new bearing/platter, though, which you can have if you find a Techie in good condition with a worn main bearing.
Thanks Martin. I'll keep that in mind!

Have you tried Freecycle or GumTree they occasionally come up on these sites??
I've been keeping an eye on the local Gumtree. So far it's mostly 2 decks with mixers that have been coming up. I guess I might need to buy a pair and then resell the other one.
Thanks

I have noticed one or two 1210's in Cash Converters (maybe Cash Generators) Possibly worth taking a look there.

Thanks, I'll have a look there too. There a few I'm watching on eBay too. I guess it's just a case of waiting for the right deck at the right price (there's plenty at silly money). I'm just not the most patient!! :o
Can I ask how much are you prepare to spend on? I have one 1210Mk2 and two 1200Mk2's, all new/sealed/unopened with uk main plugs.
I bought them for resale value when Panasonic announced the end of production, so they are waiting for new owners.
