I finally picked these up yesterday and the wife is adamant that they’re not going in our lounge, I then moved them to my little room where they just don’t work so it’s pretty pointless keeping them .
Thanks to everyone who took part in the discussion about these on another thread.
These are pretty rare transmission line speakers from the 70’s.
They are surprisingly efficient.



Dimensions are :
Height: 1 metre ( on the not so high stands)
Width: 367mm ( 14.5 inches)
Depth:400mm ( 15 3/4 inches)

Weight 45-50 kgs

I think £400 is a bargain.
All drivers are fully working
These have bi-wire connections.
On one the plastic around the binding posts has broken, I will order replacements which I will install.

I’ve had aching shoulder and elbow joints all week ! Then at work I had a ceiling to plasterboard , it was the carrying them up and back down the stairs that didn’t help . [emoji23]

One of those celestion tweeters looks somewhat different to the others, is that a cosmetic thing?

I have never heard of these, so am excited to know provenance and history!

Just cosmetic, a sticker is missing.
They are one owner who lived in Staffordshire, I think they would have been made in the late 70’s .

The first time I’ve ever done it , it was either that or lose money on speakers that sounded far better than many costing much much more .
On a positive though, other speakers will benefit from the drivers now available.

ive a few sets that need stripped too. tried selling them a while ago but no takers sadly. i will get round to it some day
