Hello everyone,

I've been into my hifi stuff for many years but a while back I seemed to move from pure hifi to more AV biased stuff.

My interest has recently been rekindled when I bought a cheap technics turntable off of ebay hand hooked it up to a set of Missions and a Pioneer amp that I hauled out of the loft. I'm loving trawling through second hand vinyl. My tastes are mostly 70s and 80s stuff although I recently picked up my first Jazz LP (Miles Davis) and loved it!

I'm now on the slippery slope of looking to upgrade! :rolleyes: Looking to get a genlty used SL1210 but the ones I've looked at so far have been manky!

Would welcome any advice from people as where to pick up a good 1210? I've been to see a couple recently. The last one I saw was described as in perfect cosmetic condition.... it was covered in fag ash and scratches and the guy selling it was downing a Guinness at 11am..... i made my excuses :)

Shame :cool: you :cool: didn't :cool: buy :cool: my :cool: turntable, [hic], :cool: but :cool: welcome :cool: anyway! :eyebrows:

Nah, only joking, if you'd come to me at 11am I'd already have been on the vodka! I've used and abused plenty of 1210's (ex-DJ) but never owned one, so good luck finding a good example - they do come up on here fairly regularly, so keep 'em peeled.
