I'm not particularly encouraged. Expect it will be similar to the things you see in HMV, but better looking. Will it have an integral RIAA equalisation amplifier?

Not keen on the styling myself, looks like they tried to get a bit Bauhaus but didn't quite manage it.

It has a preamp and ADC, and the whole thing is powered from a USB plug, so I doubt if the motor’s up to much.

Have to wait and see. Maybe not so bad if usb-c with a decent power brick behind like the MacBook Pro’s. Coupled with an efficient internals. Doubt it but could be pleasantly surprised.
