Tonigen tweeters made in Japan.

Lovely sounding ribbon tweeters as used in several commercial designs.

Nice working condition and rare to find now.

Asking £50 + posting.

HiFi World did a group test of ribbons long ago, including the Howard Dawson HRL-1, and these were the best that time.

I do recall the article.

One of the reasons that the tweeters were not used more widely was that Tonigen would only supply the ribbon tweeters in batches of 2000 or more.

These are still available.

Were these used in Heybrook Sextets and Townshend Glastonbury speakers? If I owned either pair I'd buy these a spares as you don't see come up that often.

I had a pair of the eons ago and yes they were used by Townshend... I enjoyed them whilst I had use of them and GLWS...
