I'm selling a Pioneer A-91D hifi stereo integrated amplifier in working order. See photos for cosmetic condition. Note that in some photos the front panel of the amp appears to have a mottled appearance, this is merely reflections of nearby objects in its mirror like finish. The bass control pot has been replaced with one of exactly the same ohms and effect, but it does not have the centre indent position. Make no mistake this is a true high end audiophile amplifier, and when it was released it was the flagship model in Pioneer's redesigned Elite Series. In fact it is arguably the pinnacle of Pioneer's hifi range as soon afterwards the world of Japanese hifi turned its attention towards smaller, much more cheaply built midi and mini systems with multi-coloured LEDs, and the rest is history as you most probably know. Performance wise the A-91D distinguishes itself on two counts: in the circuit-component and circuit-construction refinements employed in the interests of signal purity and in the comprehensiveness of its built-in digital switching and conversion circuitry. It boasts an extremely low distortion level (0.003%) and a very high power output of 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms. It has inputs for both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges, it uses two massive transformers and at nearly 30kg it is extremely heavy. The amp is unpacked for collection from Rugeley, Staffs, Midlands. However I will discuss meeting the buyer at an agreed location up to 40 miles from Rugeley, Staffs and charge for my fuel at a rate of 24p per mile covering my round trip, ie if the drop off point is 40 miles from Rugeley, the charge will be for 80 miles at 24p/mile equalling a £19.20 charge to be paid in cash at our meeting point. Do not buy and then expect me to travel more than 40 miles from Rugeley, I will not do that, 40 miles is my maximum!

Use of the Non-switching Circuit Type III reduces distortion for a high-quality playback sound.
The line direct circuit allows for high-fidelity reproduction of sources, with flat frequency characteristics and little tone variation, while the REC selector switch makes tape editing easy.
The unit has a built-in phono equaliser circuit, permitting use of an MC cartridge.
High-quality parts for an outstanding sound reproduction honeycomb chassis, honeycomb heat sink, large insulator, large speaker terminals, CD and Phono gold-plated input terminals, etc.
