Here for sale is my Project Elemental turntable, the deck is fully functional and in very good condition. For anyone new to vinyl playback this is probably the ideal entry level deck, simple manual operation, belt drive.
Surplus to requirements now for me as I've moved 100% to streaming. For the sale I have installed and setup with a new Audio Technica VM95C MM cartridge, I've aligned the cartridge and set the tracking force at the recommended 2g, bias is preset and not adjustable but it's appropriate for 1.75 to 2g tracking force cartridges, having test played it briefly after fitting and it tracks beautifully and sounds very good. I have also checked the speed accuracy and Wow and Flutter with an app and it measured 33.28rpm and 0.15% W&F, both better than my previous and much more expensive Rega P3.
The synthetic stone base works well to provide a respectably low noise floor and there is no discernible bearing or motor noise, the psu is an external wall wart type. I have the original box, the original very flimsy felt mat has been replaced with a good quality cork mat which is much more durable and sounds better.
I chose the VM95 series cartridge because of the easy upgrade path by just changing the stylus, the (blue) C stylus is the conical or spherical stylus, for under £30 it can be replaced with the (green) E elliptical stylus which gives improvements in tracking, detail retrieval and smoothness, there are even better styli available in the range but the E is probably the value sweet spot.
Looking for £110+ carriage which will probably be around £12-£15, alternatively buyer can collect or I can deliver within a 20 mile radius of Rotherham.
