For sale is my superb Prima Luna Prologue One valve amp.
Bought at the Wigwam Hifi Show bring-and-buy section 3 years ago (last show before covid stopped them happening).
This is an early version as it didn't have the valve auto-bias board fitted, but I sent it back to the UK distributors, Absolute Sounds, to have the current auto-bias board installed.
This means that the valve bias never has to be manually adjusted and tube-rolling is a simple plug-and-play affair (made super easy due to the lovely way the valve cage can be just lifted off it's banana plug mounting pins).
It currently has 4x Russian made Mullard EL34 output valves and the 2x ECC82 and 2x ECC83 pre-amp stage valves are both genuine UK made vintage Mullards.
It works perfectly and it absolutely silent in operation with no noise at all through the speakers at any volume (hiss) and a perfectly silent volume pot.
It is fully boxed in it''s foam lined double box, with a copy of the instructions and a couple of spare fuses.
There are a few scratches on the painted finish, but nothing bad and it will include a pot of the correct Nissan coloured touch-up paint should any scratches need sorting.
I loved my time with this amp, but the slam of a powerful solid state amp drew me in another direction.
I would love to keep it but lack of space and the wife means it has to go.
I £450 which it what I paid for it, so the auto-bias board fitting cost was what it cost me to investigate valve amps.
Postage is expensive due to the 17kg weight at £35 insured with Parcelforce Next Day, but you are welcome to come and have a listen at my home in West Yorkshire if you like, or I may be able to deliver within 60 miles of the Leeds/Bradford area for the cost of fuel.
I have a collection of other NOS valves that I briefly tested with this amp (AEG EL34's, 2x Mullard (UK made) ECC82's, 2x Brimar (UK made) ECC82's, 2x CVC ECC83's, 2x Sovtek 12AX7LPS (ECC83's) if the prospective buyer visited to listen to the amp, we could discuss if any of these other valves were wanted.
