I just found a small 'stick-on' rubber equipment foot on the floor behind a speaker stand and can't find what it came off. This may not sound like much, but it will bother me and I'll be thinking about where it might have come from until I figure it out!

I'm still rummaging to see what it's off, no clue yet. Thought it might have been off my SUT, but it wasn't. Not from one of the passive pre-amps either.

Yes. And lord knows.

It's just possible it fell out of a pack of spare feet, but I don't keep them in that room. The mystery continues.

I detest rubber feet on equipment that are simply glued in place. The glue always dries out, and if you have a habit of pulling out equipment to maybe change connections or leads, then the rubber feet can get pulled laterally and eventually fall off.

Sadly, some expensive gear use glued on feet. IMO it's a misplaced cost-cutting exercise.

A few months ago I found a rubber ring on the floor and stupidly threw it away. I must have been distracted as I always keep things like this. I later took the sorbothane hemispheres away from under my amp and it rocked and I realised the ring was from the metal feet on the amp.

It's been bothering me ever since.

Thanks I saw them but couldn't quite get the right size to fit I think it was thickness wise (too thick). Will maybe have a go anyway.

I dislike the way some rubber feet leave a ring on my racking, obviously the rubber bleeds and stains.
