For sale EPOS ES14’s with Jantzen Superior Z-Cap upgrades, plus stands.


They are the phase plugs and non bi-wire version, so mark 2 or 3’s.

Serial numbers 007786

Black finish in very good condition.

With original EPOS stands.


These were purchased from Tony off arm (and were sourced for him by Manket off pfm - who knows his ES14's!).


They sounded very good indeed as standard. I then upgraded to Jantzen Superior Z-caps about a year ago and this I think brought about an improvement in treble, and a big improvement in both imaging and soundstage. There is no way I would ever go back to standard ES14’s having heard this the cap upgrade (which is also recommended by many on pfm).

Price reduction to £425 for the speakers, collection only NG9 / possible delivery between Nottingham and Sheffield.

Cracking speaker for the money.

Original stands are also available at additional low cost for the speaker buyer. But will advertise them elsewhere if not needed.

Hi Lawrence, yes they've got what looks like cellotape very neatly folded around them!

Don't know why.

Doesn't affect the sound and a very good price now!!

Just a helpful suggestion. Why don't you remove the tape. Its very off putting and I'm sure they would sell then. GLWTS

I was never that fussed with it and always thought the new owner could do that if they want.

Mmmm : good point that it may be putting a few people off though.

Will consider it and if so pop some new photo's on.

Took Chris’s advice and have removed the old cellotape (as it turns out) on the front corners, used presumably for some protective reason or other.

I can confirm that the cellotape was hiding nothing nasty. Nor sticking the veneer down etc.

It has come off well, including the adhesive and some new photo’s attached.
