Wish it was nearer. It would be nice to say Hi to the lads :). Too much of a drive for me now.

I booked into the Himley House hotel yesterday, it is across the road from the venue, and i got a room there for £48 including breakfast. Bargain! Leaves more money for beer :)

Good stuff.

Hope you're both booked in for breakfast. First dibs on Macca's sausages, he doesn't like them :)

Yeah think so.:-)

I think I booked room only, it was like an extra tenner for the breakfast, which seemed a bit excessive.

Didn't realise that would create a sausage deficit.

That's ok - I'll get up extra early for my breakfast, then we'll find somewhere else and I'll join you for a second breakfast - I could manage that no problem :)

I reckon it's going to be great, and getting to hear some quality hifi while looking forward to my breakfast is the icing on the cake.

Second breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Second breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

With the first breakfast being the second most important.

And what's this 'All Day Breakfast' eateries offer? It must be flippin' enormous if it takes all day to eat it.

Very popular those all-day breakfasts. Handily located next to the all-night toilets.

I get an all day breakfast from the breakfast buffet in the holiday Inn where I stay. Fill up a doggy bag and it lasts us all day.

Every couple of weeks, Anita will make a "breakfast tea". Any time of day is a good time for breakfast :)

We once stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Doncaster. recently refurbished, the room was like brand new, and the room was £39 for the two of us, with an all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast thrown in. Now that was a bargain.

Yeah I've been to the Grimsby one a few times to visit my mum, great value not quite that cheap though.

Pigmy Pony

yeah they're not normally anything like that cheap, but Anita got the room online, through "Groupon" or something. This sort of thing would come up from time to time, and this one coincided with a one-day festival with Wilko Johnson headlining. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together :)

Yeah sorry no pics, I wouldn't know how to post 'em anyway. A good day, which could only have been improved upon by the presence of my favourite NS 1000 based speakers that hail from the fair city of Durham :) Maybe next time...
