Hello Steve, decided to go intergrated, I've been using a Novafidelity x40 as pre but this is slowly dying and as its basically an ageing computer I dont really want to spend money on it, I suppose I could have looked for another pre but dont want another box on the rack, Jim

I've been using an earlier Roksan amp for a few years now and it's not going anywhere. These amps are very underrated IMO.

Are the XLR outputs like pre-outs? I want to bi-amp my speakers. So could I connect XLR's from my pre-amp and the XLR's out to the inputs on the second power amp and just connect the speaker cables from both to the bi-wired speakers?

Hello Roger, I have never bi-ampt so I'm reluctant to advise on whether what you describe would work, James

The manual is not explicit but it does imply it works if you use the same type inputs and outputs eg XLR in and out. All the power amps I've owned with outputs are designed to "daisy chain" as you describe.

Thanks Lawrence, I just need to check a bit further but the concept of "Pre-out" does suggest that daisy chaining amps is possible. It's just these dammed modern speakers that suck so much juice!
