Due to my recent move to active loudspeakers my Mission QX2s are now surplus to requirements and I'm offering them for sale.
My speakers are in perfect condition and come in Rosewood finish. Anyone unfamiliar with this model only need do a search online to bring up lots of positive reviews, they garnered a speaker group test win in Hifi Choice and a Best Speaker Award in What Hifi.
The speakers are a standmount but they are definitely at the upper end size wise, the big benefit being bass more on a level with a decent sized floorstander, Mission specs quote -3db at 44hz and -6db at 38hz and obviously in room they can go even lower.
The build quality is fabulous and the speakers show it with their weight of over 8kg per speaker, partly due to the top and bottom faces being 3mm thick aluminium plates. They're an easy amp load and efficient at 87dbw so you don't need a big amp to drive them, I used them for several months with a 6wpc SET valve amp and the volume available was more than adequate.
Looking for offers around £175. I would prefer collection if possible as carriage costs will be pretty high due to size and weight of the box which comes in when loaded at 19kg, in fact the box has a sticker on it advising it should be a 2 person lift. Although collection is preferred (from Rotherham, South Yorkshire) I can arrange a courier if required, likely cost will be close to £20 but will do a search for most economical courier once a buyer confirms they want them.
