After almost a year of ownership of my Reisong A10 the time has come to move it on, future plans of moving to different and much more power hungry speakers means letting the amp go.
It was bought direct from China in February 2021, although available on ebay at the time (and still currently) none of the sellers were selling it with the metal cage valve cover which I considered to be a necessity as well improving the aesthetic look of the amp. It unfortunately did increase the overall cost of the amp and coming from China I got saddled with £82 import duty and vat to boot.
The amp has been used daily in my bedroom setup and has driven speakers of 85 & 88db/w sensitivity to respectable levels in a 4x3m room, with just 6wpc if you want to drive a bigger room then more sensitive speakers will be needed, as a test I briefly tried the A10 driving my QA Concept 40 floor standers (90db/w) in my 5x4m living room and the volume available was more than ample. For such a low power amp it sounds more powerful than it is having very good bass weight and punch, as with most valve gear the midrange is very open and transparent with a big soundstage, the very top has a degree of sweetness which helps tame bright recordings and gives zero listener fatigue.
I have investigated the possibility of tube rolling to glean improvements in sound quality but never tried any, apparently changing the power tubes to JJ EL34L tubes is worthwhile according to other users I've heard from online.
Anyone checking out this listing will doubt have already checked out the considerable number of positive reviews of the amp on Youtube and the web such as the one by Steve Gutenberg the Audiophiliac.
The amp is totally unmarked and will come in the original double boxed packaging. As the amp came with a power lead which I considered to be complete garbage and I never used I'm including a very high quality 1m Merlin Tarantula heavy duty filtered power cable which when purchased cost £60.
My total outlay for amp (inc all charges incurred) and power cable was a little shy of £475. I include the original user manual and also amps circuit diagram.
I'm looking for offers around £350 which will include insured courier carriage. The valves will be removed from the amp chassis and individually boxed up and within padded covers for their full protection in transit.
