Fox hunting, illegal, apparently.............
Whilst I love small furry things, especially my doggie, I just don't understand all the effort 'Hunt sabs' make in the defence of one the countryside's most efficient hunters - the fox. I mean, ask a chicken it's opinion.

They worry about it so we don't have to.

I always thought it would make a good film. Basil Brush plays a fox pushed too far who takes out the members of the hunt one by one - a bit like Rambo in 'First Blood.' In fact we would borrow heavily from that film.

But these sabs, they don't have the vision.

Ask a chicken it's opinion. If you ask me these sabs are a bunch of plonkers, using up vast reserves of their spare time (I imagine) in the defence of a feral predator of which there are hundreds of thousands. I think some people just like demos.

I did ask a chicken, but it just sat there with it's giblets in a separate bag, so not in a good position to comment.

I suspect this thing with the fox hunting and the saboteurs is mostly about the iniquity of the haves and the have-nots, the Hooray Henrys and the Right said Freds. As in why is hare coursing illegal, and fox hunting not?

I don't know about that I think most hunt sabs are posh. The ones I met years ago were. They were fitting it in between three months on a Kibbutz and University.

im sure the foxes prefer not to be torn apart by a pack of dogs; who wouldn't. 1/Is fox hunting really a decent passtime for modern humans?.

2/ im sure whales dont like being hunted and spear by the Japanese either but they still do it, and in fairly large numbers.

In Victoria, about 650 foxes were hunted and killed in a year; the other 90k were shot for bounty. not sure the fox was keen on either, but it had a better chance against the pack.

I asked a chicken too, only a live one, it said 'bwak bwak bwaaaak'. Fox hunting is illegal btw, they pretend they are trail hunting, whatever that is, but they do end up killing foxes. But who cares, foxes are sly bastards.

Exactly, it's not the foxes welfare which drives this, it's what motivates the people hunting them. I just think what motivates the hunt sabs? Bunch of plonkers if you ask me, to waste their time, make a lot of fuss and effort, risk getting run over by a toff on a horse, for Mr Fox, just silly.

I care.
One of the things that really annoyed me was "hunts" claiming that they are only controlling a dangerous predator. Absolute bollocks - there have been cases of hunts making artificial "earths" to encourage foxes to breed so that there are enough to hunt.
