Shane, if you can find one, I'd heartily recommend Myryad's Z40 headphone pre. 4 line level inputs, 2 headphone sockets, will drive just about any headphones. Nicely built too. Will do everything you need it to do :) 2nd hand, will come in way under your budget.

I think they were sold off end of line for £100 so don't overpay!

This is true, and those who got one before they all went got a real bargain. I've no doubt there were some who bought to sell on at a profit. But I got mine used for about £100, and still consider that a bargain. Not using it at the moment, but I'm hanging on to it anyway :)
