Looking to upgrade the PSU for my Raspberry Pi 4 from the one I bought with it from the Pi Hut.

Needs to be 5v, 3amp, so maybe something like the ifi units.

Thanks.

A word of warning I've read that the Ifi struggles if there's a hat on the Pi. Are you sure it's a 3A jobbie?

I have used one with a naked Pi4 but even then if you look online some have struggled maybe it depends on the amount of processing it does and the software installed.

Thanks Lawrence, I'll take a look.

Mine is a standalone RPi 4B which as I understand it is 3amps

Never had a problem running a pi3 or 4 and various hats with mine.
You can have it for £20 del if interested still.
No box, and just the older pi power adapter on it.
Cheers Steve

Russell, also consider getting a rechargeable battery. Many available at 5v 3a.

Thanks, was considering that but how long do you get out a full charge?

Being in a generous state of mind, I’ll also pop in a 5 volt power bank to have a play with.

Thanks Lawrence, I'll take a look.

Mine is a standalone RPi 4B which as I understand it is 3ampsI meant the Ifi isn't 3A. Looking at the pic above it's rated at 2.5A hence the issue with doing too much processing or adding a hat.

I run my Pi from one of these (https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Pxwaxpy-Portable-26800mAh-Capacity-External/dp/B07R4YVBND/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?keywords=Pxwaxpy+Power+Bank%2C+Por table+Charger+%5B26800mAh+Newest+Version%5D&qid=1637145992&s=electronics&sr=1-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyRllLWkk2WE04RVM1J mVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMzg4MTMxMkZJRTAxQTI4M1JZSyZlbmN yeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjU3NDI1MjUwWlJRTjFLRzdNTyZ3aWRnZ XROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05 vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=), it has 2 USB outputs so I can power the Pi and the DAC hat separately. Cost about £25.
