FS Spendor LS3 5A

For Sale A pair of the legendary Spendor LS3 5A mini monitor speakers. These are in black and in very good condition. Included in the price are a pair of appropriately terminated Mark Grant Hi-Fi speaker cables and a pair of heavy Atacama stands (Not pictured). They were made in 1997 and sold to BBC Radio Cleveland for an outside project that was cancelled. Hence they were sold off. They are in very good condition and hardly used over the past four years. They sound fantastic with that BBC mid range to die for. They are 11ohm. Want to know more? Get in touch. Collection preferred from the Hartlepool area. Looking for £850.

Just lashed these up to my valve amps and they really are a cracking pair of speakers. I am selling them for a friend who id selling all of his unused kit.

Seriously might be worth speaking to Falcon Acoustics about getting double boxes and packaging, it could add a grand to the price. Although I'm not sure if they insist on Rogers over there.

I don't get why these haven't sold yet.
Is there much difference between manufacturers of these things ?
I've often wondered at - I think - the Falcon variant going for £1k+ for instance.

This seems a bargain given that the stands are thrown in as well :scratch:

I am a little surprised myself to be honest. These are the 15 ohm variant and sound absolutely wonderful. I have had interest though it has been from folks who want them shipping. I had one guy offer me £500. My reply was in Latin. I had these hooked up to my Prima Luna's and they really are something else. I am selling these for a friend who is selling all of his old kit. Having many years ago heard a pair of these I am very surprised these have not gone by now. Would sound great in an average size UK room/lounge 10-12' by 16-18' or smaller and with stands, a bit of a steal at this price IMO.
