Morning all
Out of pure curiosity - and to satisfy a desire to learn a bit more about famous names - would anyone have any suggestions as to how I could find out something about the history of Partington and their speakers stands.
I’ve have searched on line but am bringing up very few references to the name, other than for sale ads.
thanks

Set up by Peter Partington IIRC he was in Kent somewhere.

Used to deal/buy from him when I worked as a buyer at Laskys, many many moons ago.

Still use a pair of his original Dreadnought model (pre-filled behemoths) for my Monitor Audio R700Gold.

Didn't they make some kit at some point. Maybe speakers?

Partington Dreadnought stands...the stuff of legends. Reckon they would survive a nuclear bomb! Said to be great with AE1's

And there was a 'Super Dreadnought'. As if it needed beefing up. I wanted a pair for a long time. Still do really.

Like these, sitting in my study I bought them on a whim, no use for them really.

I recall the Deadnought stands being recommended for LS3/5a speakers by the ( infamous ) Ken Kessler.
They were very expensive.
