View Full Version : Musical Technology Kestrel floor standing speakers, NOW WITH PHOTO OF TERMINALS
Lovely pair of very underrated speakers for sale.
NOW WITH A REALLY GOOD PHOTO OF THE TERMINALS, SORRY DIDN'T REALISE "PHOTOS SHOWING INPUTS/OUTPUT" IN THE RULES ALSO APPLIED TO SPEAKER TERMINALS,
NOW THERE IS NO CONFUSION, THESE SPEAKERS HAVE TERMINALS, THEY ARE RED AND BLACK AND ARE ON THE BACK OF THE SPEAKERS!
In really good condition, no dents, marks, creases to the tweeters or woofers.
In nice rosewood finish, with the optional baseplates.
These speakers beat some much more famous competition
They have in-house designed/built aluminium woofers, vifa dome tweeters as used in many of the PMC models of the era
4th order discrete crossovers etc
Much prefer collection, but can securely pack and send.
Asking just £150, NOW £200 TO COVER COST OF DRIVING TO MY RELATIVES, TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THE TERMINALS.
Unbelievable value for money!
More photos available, just ask.

That reads as facetious to me. People need to be shown if these are bi-wire or otherwise. Rules are there to assist members, the sales area would be a shambles without them.
indeed; being smart helps no one including you.

I'd dispute that's a "really good photo of the terminals", why is it side on rather than the actual rear?
Do you have the grilles?

whilst now following the rules, which could be clearer. I guess my frustration has shown through though my update,
it's really frustrating taking the time to take photo's, write and advert and having it deleted in less than 24 hours without any notification.
it's not unreasonable to think that many members will have jobs which don't allow them to check adverts multiple time in the working day.
"Pictures of the front of the equipment should be shown and inputs/outputs or other important facilities should also be displayed"
this is not obvious that photos of speaker terminals are required.
perhaps some example photos of the minimum requirements for each equipment type could be provided to help forum members not fall foul of the rules.
it is truly frustrating to take equipment from where it is stored, clean it photograph it pack it back up, to then find out that a particular photo is missing and need to repeat the whole process.
I would politely request to understand more about the motivation behind the rapid deletion of posts with minor mistakes?
it's understandable to enforce a minimum standard for adverts, and the need for photo's of actual items reduces the potential for scammers.
but hard line discipline of genuine mistakes/oversight just demotivates, and drives people to other forums.

The rules say non-compliant adverts can be removed immediately and without notice, which you might have seen if you had read them beforehand. Despite that, I posted two messages informing you that your advert needed further input and allowed you a period to respond before deleting the thread in question.
You may wish to know that it is a breach of forum protocol to question moderation.

What part of "inputs/outputs or other important facilities should also be displayed" and "speaker terminals" do you not understand? The speaker terminals are the input to the speaker, and potential buyers need to know if the speaker can be bi- or tri-wired. That is the whole point of the request.

Any speaker sale should have at least one picture of the front and one of the back. That seems to me to be just basic common sense.
Not just to show the terminal layout which you could find out anyway for most models, but to show cosmetic condition of the cabs and that the drive units are undamaged.
it's literally a minute's work to take that extra photo and upload it. Why wouldn't someone do that if they actually want to sell the things?

All valid points especially if the speakers are stored a long way away.
