View Full Version : Re: Dorado Uses
I have a Dorado I would like to use to power a Hiface Evo Supply (which in turn powers a Hiface Evo Two and Evo Clock)
Supply voltage: ..................................15VDC
Power consumption: ..........................2A peak (charge in progress, 1A peak out)
Any problems in me doing this?
It would not power my RME DAC which needs 8W at 15V, so about 0.5A, so I can’t see you running anything at 1A from it.

The Dorado has a current limiter and regulator in it that limits the load to not more than 500mA.
The only one that would work would be the Dorado III with the limiter removed.
Thanks Stan.
I'm thinking of trying the Dorado with the M2Tech Evo Two USB/SPIDF converter.
The Evo Two requires 250mA, while the Dorado delivers not more than 500mA.
That seems a better match.
