I've had this a few years but not used a great deal as I have several amps and like to switch. It sounds great and surprisingly drives my Monolith M1570 planars very well with good bass. (The specs show it works with headphones with an impedance of 50-600ohms.).

It sounds sublime with my HD650s and my Beyer DT880s but I also prefer it to my SS amps with planars.

I'm only selling as I've moved up the Eufonika upgrade path. In fact I sold all my Little Dots (inc. a IV SE) and wouldn't buy anything else now.

It has Philips 6922 and Svetlana 6H13C valves. I believe this example was designed around the 6922 rather than stock 6N1P so you have more rolling options (and it sounds better too I think!).

It also has 4 chokes inside and runs virtually silently, better than any other valve amp I've owned

It has a dint in one back corner so I'm asking a fair £150 for it. Collection from N London is best but I can pack very well and send at buyer's risk (no incidents to date in my years of posting hifi).https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211022/9a7666a42372e7ffed874ce6bcf7ef07.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211022/9760f7172d295e2749db722b501406d1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211022/1cf357ca2220c6d967511cbba7310185.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211022/991cc314e6d3f7afc2ed919f94c743a4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211022/13211d8ed8e14d07484fc4cce6ddd608.jpg

I should have added it could be used as a single source valve pre if you use an adaptor.

DESIGN AND BUILD IN POLAND

Description:

This OTL Tube headphone amplifier is made of high quality components for excellent electrical and sound performance. Placed in a handmade, solid oak wood case. WIMA and NICHICON capacitors, ALPS potentiometer, precision metallic resistors, NEUTRIK and AMPHENOL connectors. Gold plated, ceramic tube sockets & professionally designed and made printed circuit board.

Description of electrical system:

The signal from the amplifier's input goes to the volume potentiometer and then to the voltage amplifier built on the 6N1P tube, next goes to the 6N13S. The power supply is built on an 80 watt EI transformer. High voltage filtering is based on two CLCLC filters. The input and output stages have separate power supply. In total, three separate power supplies and four electric chokes are used. That greatly reduces output noise (hum) and provides perfect current for vacuum tubes. The amplifier circuit uses automatic current restriction so that it doesn't need any adjustment when replacing the tubes.

Sound signature:

Warm - typical for tube headphone amp. Very pleasant for long sessions.

Technical parameters:

Input impedance: 10 kohm
Sensitivity: 700 mV
Frequency range: 15 Hz - 300 kHz
Output power: 300 mW
Optimal headphone impedance: 50 - 600 ohm
Built-in headphone socket: 6.3mm + XLR combo
Input power : 110VAC / 120VAC / 230VAC
Power consumption: 50 VA
Dimensions: 350x200x125 [mm]

When you say it can be used
As a pre if you add a
adaptor.
Can i ask what you mean?
I was tempted to try a valve
Pre with my temple class d
Power amp.

I meant a jack to RCA adaptor, or a jack to RCA cable which is actually easier to find. I.e. plug the headphone out into the power amp.

Works as a pre amp out?
Im going to send a pm with my number
As i want to buy but have a few ? First

Headphone socket is output, as signal goes out into phones.

Interesting as i mesg
The maker on ebay
And they told me recent
Models have twin rca on the back
For pre amp duties.
I am a bit nervous to use a
Headphone jack as a pre amp out
Im not technically skilled so just abit nervous
So basically any headphone amp is also a pre amp?

Yes I believe the RCAs are just connected in parallel with the jack so it's the same as using an adaptor.

I actually modded a XCans V3 so that the psss through/line out RCA were removed from the input and wired to the jack socket. It was a great pre. Stereophile said the same thing and they used an adaptor or a convertor cable .

I'll try it now with my amp, I'm sure it will sound as good as it did when I tried it a few years ago. I only didn't use it more as I have young kids.
