I got myself an iPhone 4 a few weeks ago... it's a fantastic machine, though the audio (on lossless) isn't as good as my old Cowon iAudio portable player. But I didn't buy it to be a music player, I bought it for the mobile internet / portable computer functions. It also works quite well as a phone ;)

So who else has got one of these? What applications would you recommend?

For me, here are a few I'm using and enjoying:

Reeder - Google Reader RSS client
FStream - Application that streams BBC and other live radio streams (I miss 'Today' on Radio 4 going into work otherwise)
iTeleport - VNC / Remote desktop client (remote control your PC from your phone...)
Records - Discogs.com on your phone!
Zen Bound - fantastic meditative game using multi-touch / accelerometer / gyroscope...
Tesco Finder - Even tells you which aisle each item on your shopping list is found
Tapatalk - Forum reader makes posting from a phone simples :)

This is the main screen of mine with all the apps I use daily... I have a iReversi pro problem, but it is ok, I'm starting a 12 step programme to fight the addiction ... I also recently had my 1550 score reset to 1200... Most infuriating...

Chorus ds controls the hifi
Shazam is a little thing for Identifing music that is playing ... Great for cheating in pub quizzes ;)
And you prob know what the rest do...

A few games ... Shredder chess is good, monopoly is always fun... I don't really play the others

Referance stuff, imdb is good if you like your films

Tools, convert bot is brilliant, audio tools has a spl meter that seems to be pretty acurate

Photography, the lightmeter apps actually work. Photogene is a good editor and fat and ageing booth are very funny

Dog whistle is an interesting one, assuming it's accurate it'll tell you how high a frequency you can hear.

I dont have an I phone. But if I did, this (http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/35236/Stella-Artois-to-launch-augmented-reality-bar-finder-app) would probably be my favourite.

:lolsign: I'll have to ask my good freind Alan, he has an I Phone & he certainly did rave about it when he first got it. He's recently been going on about different apps, so i'll find out what his are ;)

If i remember correctly I own a Nokia 3310 which was switched off for so long that the SIM card failed to register :eyebrows:

People know where i am & my home phone number if they need me

I have an android phone (Sony X10 mini) because..

1, it was free...
2, it is small
3, it does everything I need
4, if I never ever want to see one piece of crap invasive software again, it is itunes
5, i will think of something else..

Anyway, this is funny... NSFW!!!!

However, the iphone 'looks' nice I suppose, but too big for me.

Well at the moment mostly just for phone and text but quite like the idea of Ali (Use it as a remote control for a Touch) also to surf the net or even use as a wireless router for laptop if I am away

I recommend Polarize. Neat little tool that gives your snapshots that polaroid look/vintage feel on the fly, and you can post it to facebook instantly. Definitely for those who love taking photos on the go with their iPhone. Been using it heaps lately.
