Just setting this all up after a year in storage (don’t ask!) and have a few problems:
1. Drive belt is knackered. It’s 3mm dia “o-ring” type. Any suggestions on where to get one?
2. I think the Musicmaker cartridge is past its best and, sadly, Len Gregory is no longer with us to rebuild/upgrade.
I have a valve preamp and phono stage so looking for recommendations on a replacement/upgrade for the Musicmaker that will go well with the Hadcock (VdH silver) - moving magnet or moving iron…

Very nice turntable, quite fancied one myself. If an Opus belt is unavailable, might a Michell, Oak or Revolver item suit? I recall those being quite similar types.

Good idea.
I’ll investigate.

Can anyone tell me which other turntables have a 3mm dia cross section round belt the drives the outside of the 12” platter?

The lovely chaps at Systemdek (http://www.systemdek.co.uk/) use a similar belt system on their TTs. Try calling them to see if they can help.
