For Sale: Ruark Talisman II Speakers

I am selling my Ruark Talisman II speakers.

They are in Black Ash finish and are in excellent condition with no scratches or damage apart from some small bruise damage to the edge of one of the speakers, which is shown in one of the photos, but is really only visible when viewed close up.

There are no boxes so collection only or I can deliver within 10 mile radius at cost from the Eastbourne area of East Sussex.

I am looking for £185 for the pair.

I’ve had a wanted ad for a pair of Talisman IIs for quite some time (on here, I’m sure and another couple of forums).
Sadly, the distance is against us - I’m probably 150 miles away and even without current fuel difficulties, then it would be too far for me. Like you, I wouldn’t want to send speakers - even well packaged ones - by post/courier and as a buyer, I wouldn’t want to trust this method either. I’ve read too many stories about transit damage to want to risk it.
Very best of luck with the sale- hopefully it won’t be too long before someone like me comes long - just closer to you.

That is disappointing for both of us, but unfortunately the distance does make it rather difficult.

If I had the original boxes they could have been delivered, but they have long gone so it is collection only or I can deliver locally as indicated.

Trust that you will be successful in finding a pair locally and the same for me selling.

thanks for the feedback - only sorry I’m not closer.
Don’t think that Talisman IIs are my forever speakers (that could be Celestion 44s or some older KEFs if I keep to my £400-500 max spend) - but just speakers I’d like to try whilst my hearing is still holding up!

There is a great company who i used called
Anyvan
They picked up a pair of rega for me from essex and delivered to Portsmouth for £76.
The collection and delivery was done on the same day by the same driver.

Thanks for the heads up.
Interesting, but I simply couldn’t justify spending about 50% of the price of the speakers on a courier.
