Is there anyone in the UK that can provide spares or a repair service for Visaton drivers? I have a pair of RHT-12 ribbon tweeters and one of them no longer works. It appears as though the diaphram has gone TU. Putting a meter across it shows it to be open circuit.

If not Wembley Loudspeakers might be able to help

Yes. Backplate comes off and you can unsolder the 2 thin wires that go to the connectors.
If you do use Wembly Loudspeakers make sure you send Dave both drive units if you want a matched pair back stating you want their impedance and anything else you consider important matched.
His standard of workmanship is in general excellent but he will if not otherwise instructed use parts he has available which may not be exact replicas of the original.

I thought Wembley only did cone drivers. Looks like I will have to make a few phone calls tomorrow.

It doesn't look good.
This tweeter was discontinued some years ago and there are no spares available. The newer ribbon tweeters are £135 each.:stalks:
I may be able to salvage something by putting the good one on ebay, but I am not hopefull.

Finally a result. I spotted a pair of these on German ebay last week. Unfortunately, I got outbid at €116:(
However, I also found a pair on UK ebay a couple of days ago. This time, I put in a heavy bid and managed to get them for just £52. I am looking forward to having my speakers back in full working condition having been a tweeter down for over 8 months.
And I now have a spare as well.:)

Pleased they have gone to a good home ;) I hope the so called minimal marks on the front plate are nothing serious!
Well pleased for you Andy :)
