As it's out of action you could try to gently straighten it, what have you got to lose?

I managed to straighten a bent cantilever on a lesser MC and it worked fine. Depends on the material of course as to whether it works.

Used Expert before (many years ago) on a retip of a P77 and apart from the communication and length of time it took the cart sounded great.
Not used NWT so will investigate.

I used Expert Stylus Co pre lockdown on a Denon DL304... Really happy with it, almost as good as the Pheonix...

I wouldn't play my records with that even if you could straighten it as it will likely still be a bit off and that will do damage.

Even straightened, the cantilever will have weakened areas that may cause unpredictable effects.

Good luck with the repair+1 for Dominic Harper at Northwest Analogue. He has repaired/rebuilt several cartridges for me. Very happy with his work. Nice Chap, good comms and swift turnaround (unlike ESC).

Another vote for ESCo. Speak to Wyndham on the phone. I've had a couple of 103 carts rebuilt with their sapphire cantilever and paratrace - takes this to a whole new level. You can also specify aluminium or boron cantilevers if you wish.

++ for ESCO, I've also had several carts re-tipped by them over the last year or so, including 2 Denons for the sapphire/paratrace treatment. Sound great and compare favourably with some much more expensive carts I have. Comms are much better now (Julia) and turnaround times and prices v reasonable.

Spoke to ESCO yesterday and he had never heard of a 103M......
Waiting on Dom to come back - they sent an email yesterday saying do not try and repair, and that please send a pick to help them ascertain if they can repair. Sent the pic and reply straight away and hard nothing since!

Have bit the bullet after speaking to Dom at NWA.
It is to have the cantilever replaced with one of his DHC's and the tip will be a FGS (Fritz Geiger S).
He reckons it will be an absolute corker once done - gulp :D
