Hello from Switzerland

Thanks for accepting me in this group.

As mentioned in the title I'm living in Switzerland. Regrettably my English is not very good :-(

In the past decades I made a lot of experiences and mistakes concerning the way to get real music from audio gear.
It started with entry level audio gear. Later the speakers and amplifiers has grown bigger and bigger.
I never had the feeling of real good music until I switched to old fashioned tube audio and speaker systems.
After many tries with digital sources I ended with a quite simple turntable connected to a tube phono stage and a low power 45 triode power amp.

Hello Andre. Welcome to AOS.

Westrex is an old name in Hi-Fi. I seem to recall a dual concentric driver similar to the Altec, Whiteley and BTH units.

I associate the name Westrex (or Western Electric) with cinema sound and the loudspeakers used there.

Always good to learn of a music lover who has found a system that satisfies them. We look forward in learning more. :)
