Hi all,
I'm renovating my living room and i'm looking to change the way i listen to music in that room.
Currently have an old amp and a lovely pair of old Harbeth speakers, but the room is small and the speakers dominate the room. Add in kids etc and i think its time to make a change.
I have a Naim Mu-so in the kitchen which streams from my synology NAD. Sounds really good but the lack of stereo foeld irks me tbh.
So, i need the usability of the kitchen set up but it needs to be neat and not over space consuming in the living room.
I have a relatively modest budget of 2k -2.5k.
Initial thoughts are either the Kef Lsx' or their bigger brother the LS50 wireless 2.
Reports of app issues with the LSX have put me off so could wait until new version appears later this year.
Other option would be the Naim Atom plus a set of speakers to suit.
The above options are relatively discrete and have all the connectivety i need. NAD streaming and can connect to my turntable.
So i guess the questions i have are:
Is there a market to sell my old Harbeths to aid the funds for the new set up? If so, what would a reasonable price to ask for a pair of not perfect but reasonable condition old speakers like this be? Harbeth HL monitor mk3, they aint pretty but they sound nice.
Does anyone have experiences, good or bad with the above kef or naim options?
Are there other options out there that are similar that i am not aware of?
