Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
My moniker is my name. Anonymity isn't my thing. I'm old enough to know that people can find my bunker!

Anyway, I've been obsessed with music since I was 4 years old. My mom's "baby sitter" was a old, heavy, fiberglassed turquoise Silvertone record player sitting on the bedroom floor. I'd play records until my older sisters came home from school. I started building amp kits (Dynaco) in high school and got into a taste of hifi once I purchased an AR turntable and a rare pair of SEAS speakers having two 8" mid-woofers and a big silk dome tweeter. The SEAS speakers were imported to the US by Sennheiser in 1973. They were sealed and looked very similar to the Dynaco speakers.

So... these days I have accumulated some good tube and SS amps, turntables, speakers, old radios and two vintage consoles. I'm drawn to vinyl and cherish tangible objects. I like R&B, rock and everything in between. I frequent live venues as I can. That may change since covid variants are hitting us hard. :(

Thanks for letting me become a part of this group and I'm sure I'll learn as we go.
Henry

Welcome to AoS Henry.

I'm sure there were thousands of audio enthusiasts who built Dynaco amps (was yours the Stereo 70?), and started with Edgar Villchur's AR turntable. :)

What equipment do you use now? We like 'vintage' here, so would love to see some photos of your collection.
