FS: Shure SME Model 3009 Series 2 (non-improved)

I am selling my SHURE SME 3009 tonearm. It has been recently rewired with Cardas copper tonearm wire, the tonearm has been checked and cleaned and it is functioning perfectly. If I am not mistaken this should be the series 2 non-improved version, that is the most sought after.
Item is located in Budapest (Hungary), but I am happy to ship it anywhere. It will be well-packed.
It is taken apart to prepare for secure shipment. I don't have the original box, only the complete tonearm what you can see on the photos. I am adding the tonearm cable to plus a pair of original SME RCA connectors.

Asking price: EUR 650 plus shipping.

Certainly you can ask and it's my fault that I missed to upload a photo abou it. SHURE SME is written on its sticker located under the counterweight. That sticker is visible on most of the photos, but there's no close-up of it. I attached a photo how that sticker looks like. (It's not an actual photo of the sticker from my tonearm, I found it on the internet, but I will make a photo of mine and extend my ad with that photo later this week.)

Shure were the US importer for SME arms. I believe the arrangement was reciprocal: SME imported Shure cartridges, which was why SME advertised their arms fitted with a Shure M55E, and later a Shure V15 cartridge.

Had the seller shown the SME headshell, it would have 'SHURE SME' marked on the raised label (I have one, appropriately fitted with an M55E).

Thanks a lot Barry for the explanation. I wasn't aware of it, but it's nice to learn about the history of vintage equipment. I could not find this information anywhere and also photos of such versions are rare.

I love the 3009...this is a rare little thing. You could match this very well with an SPU too for cracking performance.
