I was wondering if anyone else tests their hearing on a regular basis.
When I worked in avionics the company that employed me paid for and arranged regular hearing tests and I've sort of continued having an annual test.
If anyone does/has had their hearing tested has their receptiveness to high frequency sound deteriorated over time; coz I know there are lotsa old bastards here ;)
The other thing I wondered about is whether or not people here measure their listening environment noise floor.
This has become particularly relevant to me having moved from a rural, to town setting recently.
I used to get a -23Db noise floor late evenings in the rural setting; I struggle to get below -40Db at the same time where I live now and it pisses me orf no end :steam:
