Putting the feelers out for a set of over ear cans. Will be used with a Android device for streaming/radio etc. More interested in detail than a 'Phat bass' so no Beats Audio thanks! Budget up to £100. What do you have folks?
I should add also I'd like them to be closed back so as not to annoy anyone sitting close by!

Saw a pair of Grados on here or another forum which will suit you as long as you are ok with open ones?

I replied to the member selling them who got in touch already. I've edited my original post to point out they should be closed back. Don't want to annoy anyone sitting close by.

If you can go slightly over budget then I recommend the Sony WH-1000XM3 Wireless Headphones. I bought a pair a few weeks ago and I'm blown away. I even switch on the NC mode in bed as it seems to tighten up the imaging rather like room correction.

Good shout but more than I want to spend Lawrence.

Thanks Roger

They get good reviews

More research has led me down the bluetooth/wireless path. So that's what I'm after now.

Cheers.

I'm listening to my Sony's now, the sound is warm/full/bassy/relaxed/rolled off, but I love them. They are getting cheaper too...

I would look into Superlux. It might seem on the low price range (£20-50) but they are simply outstanding (and not just 'for the price').

I have had 3 different pairs and listened to 5 and they would be my go to for headphones under £100. They have a range of closed, semi-open and open so you can base you decision on whether you are going to use them outside (among other factors).

Not sure where else they are available from, it's been a while since I bought a pair but check around and I know for sure Thomann and Amazon sell them.

My recommendation would be the HD681, fully open (so basically useless outdoors), they seem to have the greatest level of detail.

Thank you Nick. I'll have a look at those.
