Just a heads up, guys, in case any of you are looking for a nice lamp to use beside a turntable, I've just ordered one of these:

Various finished available here: https://theforestandco.com/products/27?variant=37907972618

Good price (£75.00) for the quality on offer, and I think pretty stylish. Plus, if you sign up for their newsletter, you get 20% off your first order!

Yeah I like that one, too. Would it go in your new pad?:)

Like you say, they have some nice stuff, which is a bit different from the norm.

Lol - £60, with the 20% off your first order, and I prefer inserting my own 'bulbs':D

Of course, you can pay several hundred pounds for a genuine Anglepoise.

Make sure you use an incandescent (tungsten) light bulb: pickup cartridges like to be a little warmer than the average room temperature.

I have a genuine Anglepoise lamp, but I wouldn't pay hundreds for it.

Indeed (on both counts), but in terms of the latter, that's what some can fetch: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274548507085?hash=item3fec5dc1cd:g:7ncAAOSw4A1flfi i

I've seen a few at £300-400, too!

This is mine: the Model 90 (1973 - 1985)

Though mine is a sort of fawn colour (appropriate for the '70s).

Apparently they are still available for £90 (which is considerably more than was paid for at the time):

Nice... Does it provide the cosy glow, in order for your dining quarters, replete with appropriate 70s 'kitchenalia', to successfully double as a Berni Inn?:D;)
