I am asking £340 to include courier or post to most non-exotic places or pick up (carefully, obviously). Price, what sort of courier or pick up and hence price all negotiable.
This Marantz HD Amp1 has been my introduction to a modern amp - one with several digital inputs and a class D output stage. I have been very impressed too: it sounds clean and clear with very well controlled bass due to the high damping factor class D has naturally (I am told). It drives my KEF LS50s in a 3m by 4m room very well, producing ample volume from its published 35w which reaches 70 into 4 ohms.
I have used it with 2 optical inputs (TV and Blue Ray disc transport) and USB from my iMac plus analogue tuner and phono preamp feeds which has allowed me to stream for the first time - Spotify has become my very good friend…
As the photos show I have the box and internal packaging plus original power lead, booklet, CD (no idea what’s on it, PC drivers maybe) and remote which works as it should. All is unmarked as far as I can see including those shiny “faux wood look” end panels but to be safe I will rate it 9/10 cosmetically. A really useful and in my view underrated facility is tone and balance controls (defeat-able) which you use more than expected when they are available!
I bought it from a forum member who also was a keen fan until it became time for a change and the same is true for me as I now have another DAC equipped class D amp to try.
