Tweeter query

I'll post this here cos I really don't know where else.

I was checking out my Castle Stirlings today, prior to selling them, and I noticed a funny thing around the tweeter - it looks like something has leaked out, slightly viscous, around the casing.

Is it possible for the ferrofluid to leak out? If so, I take it this would diminish performance? If it has it would certainly explain the symptom of a slightly vague soundstage...

Hmmm...so it looks like at very least a pair of replacement tweeters before I can sell them on... any recommendations, now that Castle are defunct?

Not sure if I killed it - I think it may have been my darling pussycats. They've been using them as a scratching post. :steam:
