Wtd: streamer/ripper/server

As the title looking a streamer/ripper/server, something like a Bluesound Vault 2i or Novafidelity , one box solution preferably if anyone is looking to move something on .

You'd do well to also consider a Innuos server.
I owned a Bluesound Vault 2 and now have a Innuos Zen Mk 2 - the Innuos is superior although you would need to factor in an external Dac (unless you went for the Zen Mini Mk3)
The Dac in the Bluesound is ok but no more than that.

I've gone through a few dac/streamers lately trying to find a replacement for my Auralic Polaris including the Bluesound 2i. In the end I gave an Audiophonics Evo Sabre DAC kit a try:

This was easy to put together and sound is exceptionally good. I mostly stream from Qobus these days but have an external hard disc for my CD collection. Ripping is a slight pain involving plugging hard disc into my laptop but as I rarely do it it's not really a problem.

I’m a bit short space Grant, just want to rip all the cds and them store them away, and also have a streamer that suits me, I have the Arcam for streaming accessing my ITunes library but I have difficulty getting to function the way I would like, so looking for another solution.

yup was just musing. ive a fairly small one:eyebrows: a 14"-er and it sits nicely beside my amp etc. fast and reliable. it doesnt have a cd-rom but i can use the rom in my other pc wirelessly and remotely and have another i can plug in etc.

but i know its not for everyone. . if i was just doing it now i might got your route. i just like the laptop route
