FS: 5KVa Balanced / Isolated Mains Supply Unit - Else MSU-055-S-M

This is a BEAST at +60Kg and a 480x220x580mm case - hence it’s PERSONAL COLLECTION ONLY from GU73EF. I will probably have to sell this rather specialist bit of professional kit on fleabay but thought I’d offer it up here first - £550 ovno.
The unit is EX BBC fixed studio installation - great for your recording studio, film studio, high end hi fi, location OB's etc. This is MUCH MORE than 'just' *a balanced main supply
- Single phase 5 KVa.
- The POWER INPUT cable is NOT included - these are an unusual (I believe BBC specific) connector (no its not a blue 16A 3 pin!). I removed the blue connector socket and installed a hard wired flex cable for my use, but have reinstalled the original special connector for the sale.
- The unit has two cooling fans. I disconnected these as it never got especially warm in domestic use and they were noisy. The fans have been reconnected for the sale.
- Output Power can be selected +/- 5% or 10% options.
- Soft start.
- Dual live / Neutral breakers for Balanced outs, FIVE (5) outputs.
- Transformer*is totally isolated from the case - it sits within a second shield case.

Looks very interesting fancy a swap for an APC Smart UPS 1500 it might be easier to sell

An APC would have been a more practical choice than the Else MSU, but I’m already sorted with a more domestic friendly balanced supply. Thanks for the offer though.
