Yes, sorry to see Al go, but I think he's not been himself for a long time, and perhaps lockdown and the whole Coronavirus thing had a bearing on that, because to suggest (as he did) in the thread in Critic's Corner that the whole of Abstract Chat should go, when it's not only an integral part of AoS, but the MAIN area where he posted (especially the Insomniacs thread), for me shows that he's head's not in the right place, and hasn't been for some time...

However, he'll always be welcome here (I certainly never hold grudges), and hopefully will return when he's in a better/happier place.

What a shocker! I was about to say (in that thread) that you would most certainly be missed, and will be by me anyway, but found that the thread had been closed. I consider myself to be a bit of a class clown in lieu of any technical ability, and in you I had a kindred spirit.

IMO your humour and imaginative posts pretty much propped up the fun side of the forum at times, so I hope this isn't really goodbye :(

Don't forget that Kegworth will be happening eventually, and I will be needing you to hold my hand when it does :) I'm hoping I still have a contact number for you knocking about.

I'm hoping that the Covid shite has played some part in this (I know it has messed with my head at times), as this may be over soon, fingers crossed. In any case I wish you all the best mate.

Sorry to see Al go - and all traces now seem to have been shutdown. As with others, I wish him well - even though I didn't have much interaction with him.

He was the initiator of the Insomniacs Club - for which on occasion I have inwardly thanked him.
